Personnel uncertain - pianist has been suggested as Wade Legge, but it seems that Legge participated in an earlier session for this (unissued) album. According to Grimes, Wynton Kelly is the pianist.

Bassist on "Joldi" may or may not be Grimes. Debut researcher Uwe Weiler is of the opinion that it is Grimes, not Charles Mingus, on all tracks and this could well be. Mingus may have played on the earlier session.

An unknown percussionist appears on the Untitled Original Composition.

Confusion exists over which is take 1 of "We Got Blue" (listed as "Untitled Original Blues" on the Complete Debut boxed set).

Weiler: According to the booklet notes of Debut/Fantasy 12-DCD-4402 [and other issues], track u., Joldi, is listed as take 5, but on the preceding spoken material, the recording engineer can be heard saying, take 6.

b, c, d performed as medley.

What a mess! Sometimes listed as from Stockholm. Moon CD lists this date as from Salle Pleyel, Paris.

Lord discography is confused as to which performance of "Without a Song" appears on which Moon CD and in fact, claims that this one version is on both - which is not the case. (vol. 1 has 13:06, vol. 2 has 12:32)

Lord is also confused as to which performance of "On Green Dolphin Street" appears on which Moon CD and again, claims that this one version is on both - again, not the case. (vol. 1 has 15:01, vol. 2 has 16:11)

The 3-song medley has been issued on Moon CD as "Sonny's Tune" (7:35) and "Sonny's Tune 2nd Version" (5:14).
